; Font Mapping Information for Authorware 4 -- Macintosh / Windows
;
; This file provides a font mapping table that can be modified
; for Authorware 4 Windows and Macintosh pieces.

; If this file is in the same folder or directory as the
; Authorware 4 application, Authorware will automatically include
; this font mapping table in every new piece you create. You can
; replace this fontmap.txt with one of your own creation if you
; want different mappings.
;
; Models and libraries do not store font mapping information
; internally. The font mapping information loaded in the current
; piece is applied to the model as it is pasted into the current
; piece. Libraries utilize the font mapping information loaded in
; the current piece when a library is opened.
;
; RTF files can be font mapped when importing into Authorware from
; either platform. During the import of the RTF, Authorware
; will scan the current font map loaded, and then the RTF being
; imported. Authorware tries to find a match of a font name used in
; the RTF with a font name in the fontmap.txt

; Saving Font Information and Loading Font Mappings in Authorware
;
; To load a font mapping table into an existing piece, choose Font Mapping...
; from the File sub-menu, located under the Modify Menu inside Authorware.
; Click the button called Load Font Map. You can merge with existing font
; mapping table, or replace the font mapping information and re-map the
; Cross Platform font mappings.
;
; To save all font information from the current piece, choose
; Font Mapping..., from the File sub-menu, located under the Modify Menu
; inside Authorware. Click the button called Save Font Map... to save the
; font information to a directory or folder of your choice.
;
; To use a different font map during runtime, place the fontmap.txt
; file you wish to use at runtime in the directory with the Authorware
; packaged piece.
;
; Note: In this file, a semicolon at the beginning of a line indicates
; a comment. Comments do not affect the fontmap.txt and are not saved
; inside the piece when loaded into a piece.

; Modifying or adding fonts and sizes to Fontmap.txt
;
; Font mappings specify which font and size substitutions to make when
; moving a piece from one platform to another for both Authoring and playback.
; Without Font mapping, Authorware will not substitute fonts or sizes for
; fonts that are not defined in the fontmap.txt (this file).
; If a font used on the original platform matches one on the crosss-platform,
; Authorware will use that font, unless otherwise specified in this file.

; The format for font mapping definitions is:

; Original Platform:FontName => CrossPlatform:FontName [MAP NONE] [oldSize=>newSize]
; Fonts with spaces in their names must be enclosed in " " such as "Times New Roman"
; Fonts without spaces in their names do not have to be enclosed in " "

; Specifying MAP NONE turns off character mapping for this font.
; If you do not specify any size mappings, sizes are mapped 1 to 1
; If you specify size mappings, they apply for THAT FONT ONLY.

; One Way Mappings for Runtime delivery

; If you use the same name font on both platforms but would like to map the sizes,
; this example shows you how to do this. Otherwise the sizes stay the same.
; To use these mappings, just remove the ;
; in the beginning of the lines that start with Mac or Win.

; If you are planning on delivering on multiple Windows systems, here are some
; mappings for a common font mapped set, Arial to Helvetica. OEM fonts (bitmap)
; provided with Windows do not map the same between Mac and specific Windows
; versions. These mappings were based off height of the letters, not of letter
; spacing, or kerning. Some OEM font sizes also change when displayed at
; higher resolutions. This can affect mappings as well. These mappings work for
; one-way font mappings. They are used when you develop on one platform and
; deliver to another.

; Character mapping ensures that characters such as bullets,
; quote marks, and accented characters always appear correctly
; when text is moved from one platform to another. When a
; character is mapped, a different ASCII value is substituted
; in order to preserve the appearance of the character.

; Character mappings are used for all fonts EXCEPT those declared
; above as Map None.
